Each year, serious dance students may audition for our Touring and Performing Companies. Touring Companies travel throughout Northern Colorado performing jazz, lyrical, and contemporary pieces at schools, festivals, and community events. They finish each touring season with a performance at the Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO. The Ballet Performance Company prepares a "mini-ballet" every year. Beginning dance Students learn the basics of classroom management and work on skills targeted for developing bodies. Through our children's dance program, dancers practice hand-eye coordination, explore movement at different "levels," and learn basic skills such as balance, isolations, and tempo. This class gives young students a head-start preparation for more advanced skills. This children's class builds a foundation of skills and knowledge through fun and exploration, and it encourages and supports a love of dance!
